Dolly Parton, born Jan. 19th, 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. to a family of 12 poor children that would be raised with them eventually. She learned early on how to conquer of the difficulties she faced through her vibrant and vibrant imagination. Before learning how to read or write Dolly Parton was composing her own songs. Within 8 years she got her first guitar. At age 11, she began to sing at the Knoxville Tennessee radio station. That same year, she released her debut album on Gold Band Records an independent small label. Even though she became a local star while in the high school years, her dreams were greater. She moved to Nashville the day after graduating in 1964. Dumb Blonde was her first album to be charted on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female vocalist for his show that was syndicated in the years prior to this. Parton took the job in 1966. She then she joined RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. But she resigned from the show in 1974 when her solo songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were charting collaborations with them. The song by Parton, I Will Never Have Love for You (for Wagoner), reached the number. #1 spot following their broke up. The first time it reached the top spot was in 1974.
