Sundar Pichai

Sundar PichaiPichai Sundararajan, better known as Sundar Picha is an Indian-American business executive. He is one of the chief executive officers (CEOs) of Alphabet Inc., its subsidiary Google and was born in Madurai in India.[4Pichai graduated with a qualification in engineering metallurgical from IIT Kharagpur. After making the move to the United States, Pichai earned an M.S. He obtained a master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He also earned an MBA from Wharton School of Pennsylvania. After a brief time with the management consulting firm McKinsey & Co., Pichai joined Google in 2004 as a product manager. He was in charge of the product management and innovation initiatives for a number of Google's client software, including Google Chrome as well as ChromeOS, as well as being the primary person responsible for Google Drive. He also oversaw the development of Google Maps and Gmail. In 2010 Pichai also declared the open-sourcing of the new video codec VP8 created by Google and announced the new video format, WebM. In 2012, the Chromebook was launched. In 2013 Pichai also added Android to the catalog of Google products he oversees.
