Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989) is an American singer-songwriter. Her discography covers a variety of kinds of music. Her songwriting, often influenced by her personal experiences, has received praise from critics and numerous media coverage. Swift was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, Swift moved to Nashville at age 14 to become a country singer. In 2004 Swift signed a songwriting agreement with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. She also signed a recording contract with Big Machine Records. Her self-titled debut album was her first album of country music. It was also the first U.S. platinum certified album. Swift's subsequent albums Fearless (2008) and Speak Now (2011) explored country pop. The first two country songs that reached the top of the U.S. charts for airplay were "Love Story" & "You Belong with Me". Red (2012) was her first explore rock and electronic styles. It featured her first Billboard Hot 100 number one song, "We Are Never Ever returning Together". She also abandoned her country image on 1989 (2014), her synth-pop album. This album was supported by the chart-topping singles "Shake It Off", “Blank Space, and "Bad Blood". Reputation 2017 with its top-seller "Look How You Made Me Do", was the result of the media's examination. Swift quit Big Machine and signed with Republic Records in 2018. In 2018, Swift released Lover (2019), her seventh studio album. She was then followed by Miss Americana (2020), which is an autobiographical documentary. Swift's 2020 albums Folklore (2019) and Evermore (2020) were her first forays into indie and alternative rock. "Cardigan" was an album that ranked in the top ten, and "Willow" was an album that ranked in the Top 100. Swift started re-recording six of her original albums following a dispute about their masters. In 2021, Swift released two albums: Fearless (Taylor’s) and Red. The longest-running track on the Hot 100 was "All Too Well (10 Minute version)". All-time streaming records were broken by Swift's 2022 album Midnights, and the single "Anti-Hero". Swift has directed music videos as well as films such as All Too Well: The Short Film (2021), and played supporting roles in others. Swift is one of the top-selling artists ever. Swift has sold more than 200 million copies worldwide. She is the most streamed woman on Spotify and is the only artist to have five albums open with over 1 million copies sold within the US. Her accolades include 12 Grammy Awards, including three Album of the Year wins and an Emmy Award; 40 American Music Awards and 29 Billboard Music Awards; and 92 Guinness World Records. Swift was featured in the Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Singers of All time, Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists and Forbes Celebrity 100. Swift received the Artist of the Decade title as well as the Woman of the Decade title. Swift's music has been acknowledged as having influenced the next generation of musicians and singers.
